Overview
Lease24 integrates with Documenso to provide digital e-signature capabilities. Once a lease is created, you can send it to tenants for electronic signing directly from the platform.
Prerequisites
Before sending a lease for e-signature:
- The lease must be in Draft status
- At least one tenant must be assigned to the lease with a valid email address
- The lease document must be generated or uploaded
Sending for Signature
- Open the lease from your Leases list
- Click Send for E-Signature
- Review the list of signers (primary tenant and any co-tenants)
- Confirm email addresses for each signer
- Click Send to dispatch the signing request
Each signer receives an email with a secure link to review and sign the lease electronically.
Signature Statuses
Track the signing progress with these statuses:
- Pending - Signature request created but not yet sent
- Sent - Email dispatched to the signer
- Partially Signed - Some signers have completed, others are pending
- Completed - All parties have signed
- Declined - A signer declined to sign
What Happens After Signing
When all signers complete their signatures:
- The lease status automatically updates from Draft to Active
- A signed copy of the lease is stored in your documents
- The tenant is linked to the property and unit
- Rent tracking and invoicing become available for the lease
Tenant Portal Signing
Tenants can also sign from their Tenant Portal:
- Tenant logs in and navigates to their Lease section
- Pending signature requests appear with a Sign Now button
- An embedded signing experience opens directly in the portal
- Once signed, the status updates in real time for both tenant and manager
Resending Signature Requests
If a tenant has not signed after some time, you can resend the signature request from the lease detail page. This sends a fresh email reminder with the signing link.
Viewing Signed Documents
After completion, access the signed lease from:
- The lease detail page under Documents
- The Storage section under Lease Documents
- Download as PDF for your records
